What is sun protection under makeup, and why does ours look like makeup?

Sun protection under makeup means daily UVA and UVB defence on the thinnest, most exposed skin you have. The science on why is settled. The practice is not. A separate layer underneath foundation gets rubbed into the coverage that goes on top of it, forgotten on rushed mornings, or dropped because it feels heavy. RoseKin reverses the order. Is the protection in your makeup enough for every day?

For everyday wear, yes, on two conditions: you apply a full layer, and you top up during the day. That is what the Mineral Loose Powder exists for. For long sun exposure, sport or the beach, add a dedicated sunscreen.
Do I need sun protection for my face every day, even in winter?

Yes. UVA is present all year, passes through cloud and window glass, and is the part that drives skin ageing. Consistent daily protection does more for your skin over a lifetime than a high factor used only in summer.
What is the difference between a face sunscreen and makeup with SPF?

A face sunscreen has one job: protect. Makeup with SPF has three: protect, cover and treat. The factor is measured the same way for both. The difference is in the wearing, and in which of the two ends up on your skin every day.
How much should I apply?
